I truly appreciate each and every one of you, and I really appreciate those of you that reach out to me as well our listeners. I really do you know, this medium, this form of communication has been growing exponentially over the last decade or more, and it's really now. I think one of the primary ways people get a lot of their new is their insight and get a chance to interact on things going on in the world. And and I think that's a good thing. I really do. Whether you agree with you know some of the people on shows who happen to partake in and what have you. But it's good that we as a race, as human beings have other forms of media and medium to to ingest, entertain, inform us, what have you. I'm just going to take a quick step here. Peppermint tea. I went with peppermint tea in the studio here today, mister producer extraordinary, I haven't had a good cup of peppermint tea and koil o oy a mite. Anyway, Well, my poor attempt at a I don't know if that was an Australian or British accent in spall of tea? Would you like a spot of tea? I don't know if that's a Liverpool accent or not. Me mom me, mom told me to have a spot of tea anyway, For that silliness, What was I saying? Oh? Yeah, you know, podcasts I think are a good thing. I mean, there's some junk podcasts out there, some real garbage, some people and entities that just want to expouse hate and division, and that's not good. I mean, but there's good entertainment, there's great information on all sides. And I believe that really adds to the enlightenment and the conversation here in today's world, because today's world has got a lot going on pretty down fast, it really does. And if you blink sometimes you can get left behind, you know. But at this point in time here, like we're talking about today on the program, we are currently in a state of war. There ain't no other way to really say it. We're in a state of war with Iran, our president as an unleashed operation epic Fury, and it's progressing faster than expected. So according to the present cident and many others as well, Iran's Caamini was killed after basically you know what's considered studying arrogance. That was on the first day it started, that's past Saturday, when the operation Saturday morning in Eastern time in the United States were informed of it. There's going to be loss of life, and that's unfortunate. And already some American soldiers have lost their lives, some have been injured, some critically, and that's unfortunate as well. However, sometimes and this is again, what I'm about to say is my own personal opinion. Okay, opinion now more tea there Again, what I'm about to say is my own own opinion. It's something that probably had to be should have been done, probably a couple decades ago, because from my standpoint, my vantage point, from the information that I have had experienced ingested, this regime was just clamoring for war. They were they didn't want peace, they didn't want they want peace as long as that everything went their way. And it's a radically different form of life, Okay, that religion is a radically different form of life. I'm not saying it's right or wrong or indifferent. It's when anything is taken to an extreme. I mean, you can say the same thing of Christianity. You could say the same thing of Buddhism of you know what have you? When you take something to an extreme and it starts harming people, and where you lose me is when you start calling for the death of people that don't believe the same things you believe, that's where you lose me. Folks. I do have for the most party live and let live mindset. However, if you're not going to let me live, if your existence and your sole purpose of your existence and your ideology is to take my life because I don't agree with what you agree with, then we're going to have a problem. And I just think that's just common sense. Now, you want to practice your religion, If you want to go on hug a Tree and you think that's your religion and that's what it's all about, go hug a tree. Okay, go hug a Tree. You've heard me state many times on this program, and you can dig through past episodes. It's all out there in the internet. I backtrack or apologize for nothing. I say what I say that if if your way of life, your religion is hurting people, animals, you know, abusing animals, children, people, you know, what have you calming people? And even in some cases I would say yourself, I don't agree with that. I vehemently disagree, and I think that should be stopped now. Now that being said, just because this person wants to worship a tree or worship and believes that, you know, worms are a deity, that's their belief. That's their right to believe. And again, so as you are not hurting anyone else, have at it. What's wrong with that? I don't think anything. However, in this case with the nation we have just recently gone to work with Israel and a few others. Now it looks like it is well documented that they sponsored terrorism around the world. They harmed not only Americans and Israelis, but Britain's, British people, French people. I mean, it's just it's well documented all people of around, all groups of people of around the world they've harmed over the past three to four decades. It started, folks way back in the in the mid seventies when the US embassy was taken over in Iran. Before that, you may want to look up and do a little research. Iran was actually a decent nation in the you know, in the early before the seventies. There it had a lot of freedom. The people had freedom. They still had their their religious beliefs, but they had a lot of they had to live and let live policy, and they had a lot of freedom. And there was no issues really with ran If my memory serves me correct, I've been alive on this planet long enough to recall. However, However, once the radical takeover of rantic place, I believe it was seventy five seventy six, somewhere in that range, maybe seventy six, and the American hostage situation was there, that's when things changed and changed, not not for the better. Now. Some may argue there's other geopolitical things at stake here and reasons. Okay, you know, some people shot it's for oil. It's for oil. Well, you know, it's probably part of it in the energy stability, sure, and not just the United States. I mean, the world still runs on oil, my friends, it still runs on oil. And it's just a fact of life. It's a fact of the world we live in, no matter how hard you know. Some mayby screaming out there and wanting it to change, it's just a fact of life. There are going to be things like that that influence global political dynamics. And it's just the way it is. It's just the way it is. A lot of people have strong feelings on this latest confrontation, or as I like to call it, a war. You know, there's calls in this country for Congress to step in and limit the president's powers with the military, but I think they may be a little misguided in that, and get in my opinion, he has called the commander in chief for a reason, and as such, he has certain powers with the military and actions he can take for up to a time. And if you think about this, and you can do research on this, because I did. Since basically World War Two, which is one of the times the United States Congress declared war, there's only been one other time since the forties that the United States went you know, a president went to Congress and asked for a formal declaration of war only twice. And many presidents before the current sitting president have used the military in many ways, in many altercations, in many column wars throughout the globe since then. I mean the previous administration, not Biden, but he did use it a little bit. But the Obama administration going back, a couple of administrations used it quite a bit. Some would say to avail, some would say not to good outcomes. However, that's again matter of an opinion. Now it's just a matter of what you feel on this. My opinion is I think it was done for the better. I think there are some socio economic factors that play here. Absolutely. However, with that being said, I think that that regime and Iran was up to no good, has been for many a decade, and we've all, and when I say we, all the United States and all the other nations of the world, have been dancing around them, hoping to just appease them and hope that they would change their behavior, and they didn't. And now it's come to this, and hopefully this this we are at, will not result in too much tragic loss of life. Will ultimately hope our hope is for it. My hope at least is for it to end as quickly as possible, and to give the Iranian people freedom, more freedom than they've had, while allowing them to practice their religious beliefs in a way that doesn't threaten the rest of the world. I don't think we really need a World War three that would not be good for anybody. But sometimes, folks, sometimes you just have to stand up to a bully. Hey, thanks for listening to the program today. I truly appreciate each and every one of you out there, and remember to see a change in the world, you have to be the change in the world you want to see. It all starts with you, the person looking back at you in the mirror every morning. Remember to be kind to yourself, be kind to others. If you want to tweet at me on Twitter, it's at Terry Weiss.
