It's time for a virtual campfire sit down with Terry Weiss. Welcome to weiss Thoughts. Well, hey, the idea ho there, Camper's boys and girls and fans of all ages, welcome, Welcome to another episode of Weiss's Thoughts. I am Terry Weiss, and yes, I know, I know. It's been a long time since you've heard from me. Golly, I'm thinking going back to let's see, probably the middle of May. Was it the middle of May? I think it was, yeah, And I had people reaching out saying, Terry, is everything okay? Are you all right? Absolutely? Lots of things going on, lots of changes going on, some reorganization of things and working on some life skills, doing all the things that make one a better steward of the life given, I guess. But hey, I'm back. I'm going to give you an update on what we've been doing, and what I've been doing, and what Waste Productions is up to, what the Purple Pit Studios are up to, and so much more. So I want to thank you first and foremost for tuning into said program today. So thank you, thank you very much, and realize I am back and I am going to make a gallant, valiant, effort to endeavor to be more what's the word? I want to use a fancy word here, to be more communicative? Ah, how's that for a college word? More communicative. I've been doing lots of audiobooks, lots of audio production, lots of things going on, and updating and upgrading some equipment and skills as well with regards to that. So just to give you an idea of what's happening, and there was some things as far as the business side goes, for some reorganization that needed to be done legally. And I also had to how do I say this diplomatically and politely? Since me and said individual are no longer partnered, I had to say goodbye to a business partner, and without going into details, I want to remain professional. But what I can tell you is this, if you ever have an opportunity to go into business with someone else, whether it's a lifelong friend, whether it's a professional friend or even a relative, what I'm going to say is I would, based on my again I'm basing this on my experience, I would think long, and very very long and hard about doing it. Now. I know some of you are gonna say what, no, Terry, I've known this person for years. I've known this person for decades. Oh we went to high school together, we went to college together. Oh this is my brother, my sister, my uncle, my aunt, father, whatever. Let me tell you, nothing will destroy a friendship relationship faster than being in a business with someone. And that's really the long and the short of it. And you can look around, look around on different forums on the internet and other places, and you will see that that is simply the case in a lot of instances. Why do you think a lot of these organizations, these bigger corporations, have board members and even those people don't get along half the time, and there's a lot of backbiting and back sniping, and you know, office politics and corporate politics taking place, and what have you. So I just want to if I can impart any kind of wisdom to you, anything, any kind of wisdom along this journey, be very very careful who you get entangled into a business relationship with, especially because there's a lot of legalities involved when that goes either bust or rise sour or even if you want to amicably part ways. So I am through that. We are through that, and I am off solo again, which is kind of like the way I like to fly. I like to fly solo again and just have people work for me. I don't like relying on someone else's dare I don't want to say input. I love input and feedback from everyone, good, bad, or in different. That being said, though, however, I don't like the idea of someone else having control over my creativity and create You know, I'll listen to you. I will definitely listen to you. I will take your feedback to heart and give it serious consideration. However, however, I like the final decision at the end of the day to be mine, and I think a lot of people maybe feel that way. I mean, I know, but there's some good people. But you know, there again, there's people that have been together for years. Look at any perfect example in the entertainment industry. Hall and Oates, Daryl Hall and John Outs were for years a songwriting duo, performing duo, and now they're in they're embroiled in a very tortuous split. So you know, it can happen to the best of us. You know, at any time, I always I'm going to go by my rule of thumb going forward, which I did for many a year before I embarked about an adventure about a year and a half ago with said former person that flying solo. Then you know, you don't have to worry about anybody going low and so, like I said, it cost me quite a bit of money to get out of and it was it was better though, for all involved. So I'm going to leave it at that. I don't want this to turn into a full bitch session about me, you know, crying and whining in my my maka maca, my latte or anything. But I wish that other person, well, I just go do your own thing, and good luck to you. And you know what, you don't even have to keep in contact anymore. Go do your own thing. I'm off doing my own thing and that shall be that, as they say. So anyhow, just give it serious thought. If you're ever thinking about going into business with someone else on any type of level, okay, just give it serious thought. Anyway, there's gonna be a lot of reorganization around with Weiss Productions.
