I need you trusting right now. I'm coming back. Don't you move? Okay, So there you have it. There's the trailer for the movie Beast. Think of it like Jaws on Land, if you would. And this movie was released this year August of this year, to be exact, And it was directed by ballister Corma Corr. I believe that's how you pronounce its name, Corma carr k O R m A K you are. And it was not a bad movie. Think of it like Jaws on Land. I guess it was. Okay, it it has its moments. Let's put it this way. It's about an hour and thirty three minutes long. It is rated R for gore, violence, foul language, et cetera. And it has its moments. Let's put it that way. It has its moments. Barring that though, honestly, it's predictable. Okay, it's a predictable motion picture. You're not gonna, you know, come across anything. Oh oh, I've never seen this before in a movie or anything like that. Not bad if you if you have really nothing else pressing on your plate to watch. Not a bad film. Now, would I pay money to go to a theater to see this film? Honestly, No, It's all the same same type of setup genre. You know, You've got a widowed father trying to reconnect with his girls, so they travel far away and then unbeknownst to them, you know, poachers have been, you know, terrorizing this group of lions. One escapes, that's injured, and he's kind of now pissed off kind of, and he's going to go after human beings because he sees all humans as a threat. They kind of set you up in the beginning of the movie and how the movie's gonna end without giving away too much of the film when there's an encounter with a friendly group of lions without saying too much more to give away the ending for you. But as far as that, it's very predictable. It could have been so much more, I think, however, it just it just doesn't get there. Okay, it doesn't get there. Now, Google users seventy four percent favored and cared. You know, like the movie Rotten Tomatoes. Looking on Rotten Tomatoes, it gets a rating of sixty six percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Just to give you some of the reviews from Google here, one of the people say on Google, what an amazing, thrilling movie it was. It was an action packed hilarious but a little bit scary too. And of course he had an amazing cast in the movie, including the amazingly talented Idris Elba, who played his role in the movie amazingly. Well, that's a lot of metaphors there. Some people really trashed it. This was one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. This is also, I dress Elba's worst role ever, with all the media hype around he and his daughter being at odds it probably over the fact that he took this sucky role. Tell us how you really feel? I guess right, again, very predictable. There's some spots in the movie where you know the CGI, you can tell it's CGI. You look at it and you're like, this is kind of unbelievable. I mean, I know, I know you're gonna say, hey, you go to movies to suspend disbelief and be entertained. This one had some tense moments here and there, But would I pay you know? Ten twelve thirteen dollars or more to go see this in the movie, I'm going to say no, honestly. So for the movie Beast, we're gonna say it's kind of a stinker, just kind of you know, do yourself a favor and you know, stay home. Yeah, it's kind of terrifying. But anyway, so the movie Beast, wait for it to come out on a streaming service. It looks like it will be available on Peacock here if it not. If it is not already, so save your money on the movie Beast. It's your typical Jaws on Land story. That's the only way I can describe it. At best, it's rateed R and it's definitely not for children under I would say, the age of twelve, unless you want to give them some nightmares here and there. So that's our review for the Movie Beast here on Weiss on Film. Hope we helped you out, maybe gave you some advice to help save you a little bit of money this one.
