Well, hello there, and welcome to another episode of Think on This. We're so happy decided to join us today for this episode. And hey, if you're enjoying Think on this, would you do us a small favor? Would you give us a positive rating and review and share us with your friends? Thanks so much. There's a massive, often ignored difference between being busy and being depleted. Today on Think on This, we're performing a social battery audit to find out where your power is actually going. You can have a busy day full of things you love and collapse into bed feeling good, tired. But depletion that's different. Depletion is that heavy, hollow feeling, or even a full eight hours of sleep doesn't make you feel rusted. Now, to fix this, we need to look at the data. I want you to pull up your calendar from the last seven days. Look at every meeting, every coffee date, every family dinner, every reoccurring task. Now, perform a simple binary audit, mark them with a plus or a minus. The plus these are your charging stations. You left the interaction feeling fueled, inspired, or at the very least calm. These are the friends who listen, the projects that challenge you in a good way, and the quiet moments that ground you. The minus these are your power dreams. You left feeling heavy, anxious, or just plain gray. Maybe it's a friend who only talks about themselves, or a standing meeting that could have been an email. The trap we fall into as saying yes simply because we have the time available. We look at Tuesday night and see an empty slot, so we fill it, but we forget to check if we have the energy available. If your week is eighty percent minuses and you aren't living, you're just vibrating at a level low grade burnout. No amount of caffeine can outrun a calendar full of minuses. So here's an action step. Here is your challenge for the week ahead. Perform an audit on your upcoming schedule before it happens, look at the minuses and identify just one, just one. Maybe it's a social obligation you've been deciding that you dread, or you're dreading this, or a task that sucks the soul out of your Tuesday. I want you to do one of two things. Cancel it or cap it. Either politely decline or set a hard time limit. I can come, but I have to head out at seven type of thing. Protect your piece like it's a finite resource because it is. You wouldn't leave your car headlights on all night? Would you don't leave your emotional energy running for things that don't give back. Okay, Remember you aren't a machine designed to be on until you break. Remember that you aren't a machine designed to be on all the time until you break. You're an ecosystem that needs balance to thrive. Remember to think on that this week, and I'll see you on the next episode.
