On today's episode of Think on This, Let's start with a hard truth. If you have three top priorities today, you actually have zero. Productivity isn't about doing more, It's about doing the right thing. And today we're implementing the rule of one. Cool think of your energy like a spotlight. If you spread that light across a whole stage, everything is dip. But if you focus it on one performer, it's brilliant. The rule of one asks you to identify the single task that, if completed, makes everything else easier or unnecessary. Before you check your email or open slack, ask what is my one and write it down. Everything else is just noise until that one is done. Your challenge for the next twenty four hours don't start a task number two. Don't start task number two until task number one is finished. Close the other tabs, put the phone in the drawer. Win the morning by winning the one. Think on that, and when you do something like that, it's going to focus your whole day. You're going to accomplish more. Instead of being spread out across everything, You've got to focus on what is my one, and throughout that whole first process, concentrate because remember, everything else is just noise until that one is done. How many times do we get distracted throughout our day? We start out with a large to do list and we say I want to get this, this, this, and this done, and before we know it, maybe we've got one or two things done. But honestly, maybe we've all made a list of various things to do and only accomplished little bits and pieces of each of them and never come pleaded everything. So remember this hard truth that if you have top priorities, you're actually have zero. It isn't about doing more. It's about the rule of one. Thank you so much for joining us today for this episode to think on this, and I hope we have helped you focus on the rule of one to get more done. As always, we are thankful for each and every one of you our listeners, and until next time, from all of us that think on this, be well.
