There's a right way and then there's the wrong way. This time on Wi's Thoughts, it's time. For a virtual campfire sit down with Terry Weiss. Welcome to weiss bok. Hey, everybody, welcome to the podcast. Welcome to Wife's Thoughts. I am Terry Weiss, your humbled host, and I'm so glad you spent some of your valuable time with me today. And if you want to check out more episodes of the podcast, just head on over to Weis's Thoughts dot com. There you can listen to each and every every episode of the podcast, and also check out the blog at the top of the page, Weiss's Life. There, I wax poetic on certain things in my mind and in my world. And if you want to look for me on x it's at Terry Weiss. On YouTube, look for Wife's Thoughts and uh there's a Facebook group all kinds of good stuff. That's I'm all over and the new oh, the new Instagram channel is at White Weiss Productions. That's the production company where I do voice overwork, audiobook narration, e learning, telephony, commercials, whatever you name it. You know, go to the website Weissproductions dot com. All right. I want to get right into the program. But first. It's that time again. It's time for the wordsmith word of the episode. That's right, it's time for the wordsmith word of the episode, where you can impress your friends with your big brain and your vocabulary knowledge. And this week's wordsmith word of the episode. Oh, computer generated voice is Karen? Say that one more time? One more time? Parenomasia para noomasia p A R O N O M A s I A. What does it mean? You say? Terry O pray? Tell well, it's a play on words or a pun. Let's hear it used in a few sentences, shall we the stand. Up comedians clever paranomasia had the audience groaning and laughing simultaneously. Oh, how about another one. She found her grandfather's near constant paranomasia endearing, even if the puns were terrible. All right, one more sentence before we move on from this. The English teacher used paranomasia to help students remember complicated literary terms. All right, paranomisia, paranomasia. It's a play on words or a pun, And that is this week's wordsmith word of the episode. Now you can go out into the big, wonderful wide world and impress your friends with your vernacular vocabulary knowledge and just there'll be in awe of you. You'll be the life of the party everyone while will want to be you. Parahomasia. Okay, I know, shut up, move on, Terry anyway, Welcome one and all, Welcome to the program, Welcome to Wie's thoughts. I am Terry Weiss, and again I am glad that you're here and you decided to spend some of your valuable time with Moah myself today. So on the teaser for the podcast opener, I said, there's a right way and there's a wrong way, and I want to talk about this on the program today because I've been seeing as I'm sure you have as well too, and a lot in the news about these groups of people that are protesting TESLA now. Without getting too political, okay, without getting too political, these people, in my opinion, are fools. And here's why I say that, if you don't like what's going on, you do have the right in the United States of America to go out hold up a sign, peacefully protest. It's guaranteed to us. The people have a right to peacefully assemble and protest. What's going on in the news is in no way, my friend's peaceful. It's violent, it's disgusting, and it is damaging property. Thankfully, as of the recording of this podcast, no one has been hurt or killed. But that's the wrong way. Whether you agree with with Elon Musk and what's going on, you know that whole controversy around that or not. And if you don't, there's ways to protest. Here's the biggest one. Don't buy the product. If you think Elon Musk is so evil and so terrible and what he's doing is so terrible, don't buy a Tesla. Find out if he's in any other businesses, and just don't patronize that business, and maybe have some of your friends organize a boycott of the businesses. Okay, start to write a letter or email writing campaign to protest, to make your voice heard, But to perpetuate violence and destruction of property and threats to human life over a disagreement is utterly preposterous in my humble opinion, My friends, this is not the end of the world. This is not the end of democracy or the world. No one's going you know, Elon Musk is not going around rounding up people and throwing him into a van and throwing them you know, into boats or putting them behind you know, fences or cages or whatever. It's just a different set of ideals. But for those of you out there that would agree that this course of action is right to protest, to cause damage and mayhem, you know, using firearms to you know, damage property and you know, molotov cocktails and burning and damaging windows and and even I mean, you've ben't seen it so far, my friends, is just people who own a tesla having their cars damaged. Innocent people that just bought the product trying to you know, figure, hey, I want I want to buy something it's new technology and maybe help the environment or cut down on carbon emissions whatever. And people are attacking just citizens as well, not the organization, just the citizens. To me and to a few others out here, it's getting out of hand and it has to stop, and it has to stop now. Totally the wrong way to protest your difference of ideals or difference of opinion with a things that are going on. And honestly, if dare I say, dare I go as far to say childish infantile, animalistic, clownish. And I'm not taking anybody's side, okay on this, I'm not taking oh I agree or I disagree. I am just looking at the situation at hand, at the damage and the techniques and the tactics being used by certain groups of individuals that obviously have nothing better to do with their time than to go out and cause damage. Now, you've always had these type of morons in society, not just here, but across the globe and throughout history that they're just looking for an excuse to cause damage in mayhem, because they're just pieces of garbage at heart. They just want an excuse to cause damage and mayhem and destruction of property. And these are the type of individuals, my friends, we do not need in our society. And what I mean by that, what I mean to say by that is these people should be locked up and incarcerated. If you're going to go out and cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage and throw, you know, molotov cocktails and set fire to vehicles and attack people in vehicles just because of the type of vehicle they drive, there's something mentally wrong with you. If you would attack an organization with physical violence. There is, in my humble opinion, something mentally wrong with you. You need to be removed from society and taken out of the public's view and everyday life, because you are a danger, and you are a menta. And I don't care how old you are. I don't care what sex you are, I don't care what your eight you know, what your political affiliation is, sexual orientation, it doesn't matter to me. You're wrong. The only time one should even think about raising hands or you know, getting dare I say physical is if your life or your immediately family, your family's life and property, you know your home or whatever is in immediate danger, or if you're out somewhere and you know your life is in danger, your family members in danger, or you're coming to the aid of someone who's maybe being attacked by a wild animal or another person. That's it's a whole different set of circumstances. But because you're pissed off because you don't agree with an ideological stance of a person or suiting certain set of people to perpetuate violence, to call for violence, to call for harm to life and limb and property, you are mentally unhinged. And you need to face the appropriate consequences. There's a right way to protest. Make up signs, makeup t shirts, gather and assemble peacefully and protest, make your voice heard. That's definitely guaranteed in the Constitution of the United States of America, the Bill of Rights, the right to peacefully assemble. But this is not peaceful, this is not agitators like some of news media outlets, what had you have you believe these are violent criminals rise to the form of terrorism, I don't know, but they are definitely violent in their criminals under any other circumstance. If it was not related to anything political. People a person or group of people doing what is being done to the Tesla dealerships and people who own Tesla's, it would be it hands out criminal, hands down criminal. And to try and throw shade on these particular individuals or organizations that are perpetuating this violence, to try to throw shade on them just because there's a political element to it is wrong. And any news media outlet that tries to throw shade on it because of that, you're wrong, you know. Here in the United States of America. I mean, things are just at times, I just I look at the news and I shake my head on all sides of certain things and go, my god, what the hell is wrong with people? We're supposed to be the highest form of intelligence on this planet and a lot of times we act like complete assholes and idiots. And I know I'm using some pretty harsh language, but you know there's a disclaimer in the podcast, but it's true. Sometimes you just have to call this out as it is. And again, I'm not against protesting. If you whether you agree or disagree with Elon Musk and Doge and all that stuff, you know, politically, you can still protest it. Absolutely, you have the right by all means protest it. But do it the right way. Do it peacefully. Organize email campaigns, organized letter writing campaigns, organize us a peace will sit in, organize a peaceful rally. Okay, make your voice heard, draw attention to why you oppose it, and you know, give your opinion on it and what have you, and then take it from there. But to just go to violence, I mean, we're not living in the Spanish Inquisition or under Russian oligarchs or Maoism. We are supposed to be a civilized society, especially here in the West, and it just seems like the more we go on, the more that years go on here, it seems like the more the depravity and the animalism of certain groups of people and certain individuals who can't control themselves is being exposed, and these people need to be caught, have due process, and if found guilty by a jury of their peers, they need to be severely punished. Whenever you do stuff like this, I don't care what your beef is. If it's pro life, if it's pro choice, you know, if it's a pro abortion, if it's you know, pro chocolate bars or pro asparagus. Any group or group of people or persons that commit violence like this and call through the outright harm of people need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, period, No discussion, no discussion. There's nothing you can tell me. There's no amount of evidence, there's no argument, there's no point of view that you can give me that would justify the behavior that we're seeing going on right now against Tesla. I don't care if Elon Musk was running around in a mini skirt, singing tiptoe through the tulips and laughing as he I don't know, says he's going to incarcerate everyone over the age of thirty. It doesn't matter. It doesn't call for violence, it doesn't call for damage and destruction of property of any individuals. And if you believe it does, you're the problem. You're part of the major problem in the United States of America today. And I'm ashamed at the behavior of some of the citizens in my country for acting this way. I am really ashamed and dareiad disgusted? And your damn right. It enrages me of how these people act. And isn't it funny whenever a person or a group of people does get caught and you see them, they're crying, They start crying and whining and what have you. You know, I'm adult enough that if I don't like something you're doing, if I don't like a policy, okay, if I don't like a certain politician, if I don't like a certain law that's been enacted, yeah, I might bitch and moan about it, but I am not ever going to call for violence or destruction of that person's property, that group's property, that party's property. What have you? You know, you would organize like I said an email writing campaign, a letter to send to your congressman or senator, or a letter to send to a representative or organization protesting or explaining your alternate point of view, saying why you don't like this, why you disagree with this. Can we open up a dialogue and see if maybe we can adjust or do something different or what have you. And if that doesn't work, at the very worst, then boycott their product or service. Then if you don't like it, or if it's an elected official, you know, don't vote them back in, or do what you can do to get a recall count on the elected official. If you can, then maybe have them removed from office. But this, you know, violence, and these people are these groups of people are acting like it's the end of the world. They're shouting slogans that are factually untrue for the most part from what i'ven't been able to find out. And I look through different sources. I don't just take one networks or one radio station, or one blogger, one blogger, one podcast point of view, or one newspaper magazine article. I pride myself in divesting a wide array and vast different sources of information before I form my ultimate thoughts on the matter and opinions and decide how I feel about it. But a lot of folks out here, a lot of you out there, Maybe some of you are listening to this podcast, maybe not, But a lot of folks out there, don't They just they they take a fifteen second blurb or something they see on Facebook or x or Instagram or TikTok or Snapchat, or they hear a thirty second blurb or one minute blurb in a news podcast or a video podcast from you know. They're people that with the same points of view of them and they just run with it like it's the gospel from the Bible. They can't do that in this day and age, folks, I hate to tell you that you can't. You just can't. There are people out there that will use you, take advantage of you, and you're good intentions, to manipulate it for their own need. I guess there's a lot of sheep out there on all sides that are just willing to allow along for whatever reason. I don't get it, I don't understand it. But I'm very disheartened and disgusted and ashamed of some of my fellow citizens in the United States. Because you can't do things the right way, you want to do things the wrong way, and someday you may pay the price. Hey, thanks for listening to the program today. I truly appreciate each and every one of you out there, and remember to see a change in the world, you have to be the change in the world you want to see.
