On this episode of Think on this, inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions. Let me say that again. Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions. It's so true, isn't it. How many times do all of us let in an event, or maybe a flipant remark from someone just ruin our day set us off. We may get up when it be in a great mood. Maybe we've got a lot to look forward to that day, and we've gotten up early, exercised, eat and right, and we start out in a great frame of mind. And then we go to start the car and discover we have a flat tire or a dead battery or you get a phone call from your child's school saying they forgot their homework, or maybe on the way to work, you get stuck in traffic, or you get to the office and someone makes a flippant remark to you, and all of a sudden, all those good emotions, those good feelings, the great start to your day, it seems to vanish in an instant. And the key is to overcome situations like that, because when you have true inner peace, nothing can rattle you, not even the worst situation that become to you personally or professionally or in your circle, because you are rock study throughout it all. Now that's not to say that we don't have our times where we feel really up and down and we have a few different swings in our mood. But if we can learn to choose not to let these things change our course of our day, our week, our month, our year. And I know a lot of you out there shaking your head right now and saying, yeah, but you don't know my situation. My friends, we've all been through things, and many of us have been through similar things at various degrees. So we just have to remember to try and control that, and we have to ultimately, remember that inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.
